The slight star trails are caused by the roll of the sky in relation to an Altazimuth without compensation.

The image below is a 4 sec exposure at prime focus f4.5 13.1in
It shows rings of material reaching out far into space presumably blown off.
One reason that the innermost ring appears darker may be to do with the density of 'atmosphere'
we have to see through at the edge of the sphere. Of course it would appear thinner toward the middle.
